Ahaa! Updates..

Well.. I have finally recieved the self adhesive aluminium that I will be using to cover this model. And it has inspired me to get working on it again... I thought that to start with I will test out this metal stuff so I grabbed a test-wing I had built to test covering materials and covered a patch of it with this ali. This is VERY rough and I didn't really prepare the surface at all.. hence why it looks a bit lumpy.. and that seems to be cruicial thing with this material. With it being so reflective if there are ANY imperfections in the surface it goes onto.. you can see it. Add to that that I took these pics with my webcam () has meant the pics are pretty crappy.. But anyway i am really pleased with the effect... its sooo boootiful. Can't wait to see what it looks like on a super smooth airframe

It certainly will - but don't you want some imperfections in it?

A few yes.. but not quite that many. At the end of the day you can always ADD imperfections... but its much harder to get rid of them once you have applied the metal.

Yes it will. As its literally just aluminium you have to prepare the surface like you would if you were painting something metal. Eetch primers are advised. I will be doing many tests with paints later on towards the end of the project.

Cheers
